Long time, no blog
January 6, 2004 12:50 AM

Ok, people have been telling me off for not blogging. I shouldn't have blogged so often last year, then people wouldn't expect it. Anyways, here's the first entry of the year. I saw on someone else's blog a summary of their year, it seemed the right thing to do to steal their idea and also do one. So here goes.

January:
Nothing much happened this month I guess. Drove my "new" car a lot, named it oodles because of the number plate (UDL-520). Started what WAS to be my last year of school. Got my first impression of what the people in my grade are like as a collective group ... there isn't a word to describe how stupid some of them are.

February:
Settled in at school, got to know Cindy. She was kewl, she helped me out in Maths and Physics, if it weren't for her, I would have done worse. Dropped out of Maths 2 and started Art which would prove to be my year's biggest challenge and bring the best rewards come the end of the year. For a while I stayed completely ontop of my studies, but it began to slip a bit. Although I did keep up I wasn't doing what I said I would this year.

March:
Crashed my car turning right onto South Road whilst wagging school, on the way to get hair dye for Rachael. In part it was a blessing in disguise, the car was a piece of shit, in reality I was better off without it. It was just good that I crashed it then, not in a more life threatening situation. Although we had some good times in that car, it pissed on everyone's feet in the front passenger seat, it took us to Vinnie's that amazing night .... It was the singing car, if ya got in, ya had to sing. They were good times. A lil bit after I crashed my car, I got my first job. It was at McDonalds in the city and it sucked. Although I enjoyed the money, it was physically and emotionally draining. I was doing long(ish) shifts both days on the weekend. In fact once, I did an 11 hour shift. That one was torture.

April:
My birthday month .... I think this one was un-eventful, apart from my birthday of which I remember nothing .... oh wait, NOW I remember. I went into work, it was Good Friday this year, I worked for 5 minutes and then was asked if I'd like to go home, how could I refuse, it was my birthday after all. Apart from that I don't remember anything eventful that happened this month

May:
If only I had been blogging during this time of year. I worked, I went to school, I didn't really do much else. Life was rather un-eventful, yet again.

June:
School, Sleep, Work ... That sums up this month pretty much.

July:
FINALLY!! I came to my senses and quit my job, made more time for school and sleep.

August:
I think I got my new car this month, at first not much better than the first one, but then we sorted out all the problems with it and now I love it more than life itself. We had to get the carby fixed, dunno what was wrong with it, don't care and then we had to get a new transmission ... I didn't have 2nd or 4th gear, that was a fun one. Goes real nice now, gets me from A to B, is pretty economical, especially when the olds pay for the petrol. The day that I had thought would never come, came. On the 10th of August this year, my nanna passed away. I went to my first funeral and I hated it, I hope I wont have to do it again any time soon.

September:
I STARTED THIS BLOG!! People tried to run us over in Glenelg, my friends and I went through the stress of applying for university courses and lodging SEAS applications ... the most difficult thing was getting them approved by the whore ... I mean principal. Oh well.

October:
The heat was on, School was coming to an end and I had a year of art to catch up on ... I managed to finish all my work on time, although not quite to the standard that I had hoped. I said my name was Lazy McGee and I was right. I did nothing but art work for about 5 weeks. It paid off in the end thank god.

November:
School finished and I didn't know what to do with myself. The feast festival came and went and we saw a few good performances. We had our school formal which was a load of shit, the food was crap and cold by the time we got to it and the people were even worse, not that I expected any more.

December:
Results came, they sucked, I debated what I was going to do, I'm still not sure. It turned out that my best subject was Art ... it would damn well wanna be with all the work I put in at the end. Christmas came, that sucked and then finally, to finish the year off I had a new years eve party at my house.

So there ya have it boys and girls, my year in about that many words =O). Good luck in 2004 everyone, I've heard it's gonna be a damn good year.
