1011 Visitors
August 22, 2004 8:14 PM

Hey ladies and gentlemen! I've now reached 1011 visitors!!! Woo!! go me!

Ok, now that that's over. This week I started doing work experience with Volante who work for Santos doing all their IT related stuff. I was on service centre for 2 days and I answered a few calls, they weren't fantastic. Anyway, that's all over and done with now, I'm on Desktop Support. I've been doing a whole lot of software installs, it's a little bit boring, but it passes the time. Next week I'll be doing at least some hardware based stuff. With any luck they'll give me a job at the end of this, but even if they don't I'll have a damn good reference and more experience.

I'm watching Australian Idol at the moment, this billie woman is crap. Casey has to win cuz she sang my favourite song from the movie camp.

We went out on Friday night and Saturday night. A lot of the time was spent laughing at the way other people dance. I had a lot of fun. HAHAHAHA!! I just saw the ad for the panel this week, it has vidoes of the Australian swimmers when they were younger winning things. It's funny.

I have a confession to make. I haven't had any musicians e-mail me. To tell you the truth, I'm really disappointed. NOT ONE OF YOU DAMN MUSICIANS E-MAILED ME!!! =O( I'm not that unlovable am I?

To Houton and back ... possibly through texas with a chansaw massacre
August 13, 2004 6:31 PM

Well, last night was interesting. David sent me a message on msn asking me if I wanted to go for a drive, which of course I did. So we left at like 11 or so and got to Leanne's at like 11:45 ... I think. So we started to drive around and we went down all these suburban streets, a couple of no through roads and then ended up on some random main looking road. Eventually we saw a sign that said tea-tree gully, so we knew we hadn't reached melbourne yet. Then be began to think, where is the gully in tea-tree gully .... and not a minute later, we found it! We drove through highbury and next thing we know we're on our way to Houton. We made it there eventually and some how ended up down this dirt road and then David started freaking out cuz it reminded him of the texas chainsaw massacre. Eventually we made it back to civilisation where we had an abortion at the blue and white cafe. It was great, then we had deep fried mars bars further down the road a bit. All in all a good night.

Maybe Baby
August 12, 2004 3:17 PM

"Well you could have had a cyst the size of pavarotti on yer ute, and I was going to have to remove anything remotely feminine from your ribs to your knee caps" ... one of my favourite lines from Maybe Baby. A pretty good movie all in all. So I've so far been very lazy this month. It's the 12th already and I've only blogged once before this and that was hardly a blog at all, more a comment really.

Anyway, this week has been rather uneventful apart from my interview on Monday with Volante re: work experience, I've done basically nothing. I've been to the library twice, finished one book, but started about 5. On Saturday I went to the video ezy movies sale and I picked up a few bargains, I got Jackass the movie for 17.95, Maybe Baby for 9.95 and Girl, Interrupted for 12.95 and then House Sitter, Corina Corina, Blank Check and Siam Sunset on VHS for 3.95 each and one for free lol.

I got Girl, Interrupted from the library, the book that is, along with a fair few other books too. Mostly shit ones, I really can't find anythingdecent to read, it's a bit of a pity. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST ANY GOOD BOOKS YOU'VE READ!!!! Thankyou. Anyone who doesn't contribute will be hung drawn and quatered. So be warned.

No Ernst and Young for me
August 8, 2004 2:26 PM

Well, yet again it's a new month. On monday the 2nd of August, I finished the course work for my diploma, so now I just have to do field site training and wait till GDP finishes, which could be a fair while =O\. I have an interview tomorrow with Volante for field site training, basically I will be learning help desk. Should be alright.

I had my interviews with Ernst and Young, I got to the second stage, but I didn't get the job unfortunately. Meh, that just means I'll be better for the next one because I wont have to compete with that person again. Maybe the next job with be better!! Let's hope so.
