My tongue is big and sore AND FOR NO REASON!!! It's not like I've been kissing anyone violently or anything ... or kissing anyone at all for that matter. Wow, what a weekend! I got up at 7 on Saturday morning to go pick up Vicki to take us to Athelstone to be extras in 2:37. It was cold and long and boring, yet interesting at the same time. It brought back so many memories of why I hated high school. I was instantly filled with disdain for 90% of the people around me. For a gander at some pictures, head on over to Vicki's blog. In the end a good time was had by all, and if good times were not had then they suck and they shouldn't be doing it! I really don't care if they end up using the shots we're in or not, just to see how things are meant to be done was cool.
After all that I went to a house warming party at West Beach .. I was one of no more than 6 Australians there, everyone else was French, Sweedish, German or who knows what else. A good time was had by all there, particularly the girl who can drink a bottle of beer in 5 seconds ... until she threw up anyway. I have to say, the funniest point of the night was when Carly and I were talking to Tom and Bernie about Belly dancing and they were talking to us about Ballet dancing. I'm not sure they cottoned on in the end, but Carly and I thought it was a riot.
Yesterday Adam, Hayley and I headed out to Annie's house for a lovely BBQ. Adam and Hayley were puzzled as to why I had arrived so early as they were under the impression that we were heading to her parent's house which is just around the corner. I rang Annie to confirm and we were soon on our way. I HATE driving with Adam because he always complains about the route that I take or the way I drive. Lunch ROCKED and we got a pav and rum balls from the cheese cake shop on the way out, they capped off an awesome meal. The conversation turned a few times to moving out and Adam thinks that I should move out, buy a house and have him and all our other freinds move in. Personally, I couldn't live with Adam, he would be far to annoying and scary. He'd be lurking in cupboards waiting to jump out at me when I walk past and other such nasty things!
Tonight we're going to Carly's for our regular Monday night routine of good TV, good company and good ... but oh so bad food. Tonight we have a special guest. Tom is coming down to make crepes for us. On the condition that I make ice cream, so I'm making a quater batch of Milo with Tim Tams in it. Hopefully it will turn out well, if not, TOO BAD!!! I'm super excited about the crepes.
Still no internet at home, I really hope it's back by the end of this week so that I have it again in time for TAFE. On the upside though, I've been getting a lot of homework done. I'm up to date in terms of book exercises in digital imaging, I never thought I would be, but I am. So now I just have to work on my slide restoration and my fantasy scape and I'll be in like flynn. I've been keeping up with the book really well in Web1, but I've been letting the rest of it slip. I did the first five questions of the main theory piece last night. They were easy, mostly about design concepts and such. I need to get my design brief finished, but it's really crap and I need to actally think about what my site is going to look like in the end. I might get into it tomorrow night or on the weekend. We'll see.
