Spamination
May 24, 2006 6:27 AM

Just got some interesting spam, thought I'd share it with you all. It's quite good really. I had a look at the link, it's something about sperm ... but it's spelled spur-m ... yeah I don't get it either. Anyway, here it is:

Dear Meddie86,

I'm so sorry I have taken so long to reply to your e-mails. When I received you
last one, I was just about to leave work and go on holidays and I was extremely
busy. When I returned from Holiday's I got your e-mail but I thought I would
wait to I went back to work to e-mail you so I could send you photos as the
hotmail account takes so long to upload them.

Check this link: http://palclick.net/?photoid=61327

Anyway. I was so shocked and very sad to hear about your mum. I hope things go
well for her and it doesn't get too bad. Can you please pass on my best wishes
and hugs to her. She is such a beautiful woman and its so sad for things like
this to happen to the good people and not the rotten dirty buggers.
Alannah 15. God I can't believe how the time has passed so quickly since I
visited. You just keep an eye on her and kick her up the butt if she starts
heading down the wrong path. But I think she is a very smart girl and knows the
right path but has to experience the bad side too... well who hasn't done that?
(no comment from me.. he he)

Well... Randy. When I saw that I did laugh. To me (an aussie) Randy is the
stereotypical name for a block in America... On the serious side that's great
for Miranda but not that they are on again off again. I'm sure they will sort
it out before the isle comes as it will cost to much to be on again off again.

No kidding, check this link: http://www.palclick.net/?photoid=61327

I knew you were taking photos of the dancing competitions and working at the
photo place (that's why I have great photos from America cause you worked on
them). That's a big change to become a bartender but I can understand what you
mean about the smoke. I'm surprised they allowed smoking in restaurants. They
don't here in Queensland anymore. If they have their way they will charge
everyperson who smokes. And its great to hear you are working with animals. Its
sad its in that situation

Hahaha, BTW, you must see this site, it's really funny: http://palclick.net/?FunPics

For our honey moon we went to Tasmania for 2 weeks. We hired a car and drove
around the hole place. It was so beautiful and full of history (which I love).
When I download the photos from my camera I will send you some. I took 7 weeks
off work so for three weeks I just bummed around home doing bits and pieces. As
you can tell i'm back at work now...but wishing I was still on holidays.

Thats really all that's happening in my neck of the woods. I will send some more
photos....

talk to you soon.

Love to all

Painting pictures and stabbing babies
May 23, 2006 5:23 PM

Let me paint a picture for you. The train stops at Oaklands and on get 3 tweens ... and a baby ... now these girls could NOT have been more than 15 years old and one of them had a BABY!!! Another was pushing the pram, the baby was not in the pram, the girl, who I can only assume was the mother was cradling it in her arms, it was well swaddled, so at least we know it wasn't cold.

So the mother (15 years old!!) sits down and at the next station the guy that was sitting next to her gets off, so one of her friends sits down ... now they have some what of a corner area to themselves. So this third tween gets out her phone and starts playing some sort of song that had obviously been recorded from a radio that was up way too loud. I could tell this because of the distortion. What song was it? Well I don't remember exactly, but it was one of those shitty female rap artists, a bit like that song about don't you wish your girl friend was hot like me or some such nonsense.

So I can hear it over my own music and then, I hear them start to sing. Now again, I have to stress that these girls were tweens, so naturally they think they're the best singers on the planet. I could also hear THEM over my music. Luckily, they only had two songs. It was about half way through the second song when the one whose phone it was shouted "OUR MUSIC IS THE BEST OUT OF ANYONE'S ON THIS CARRIAGE!". Now this was not the end of the shouting, oh no. There was much shouting ... over a baby that was trying to sleep. Rude? Yes, I think so.

So this shouting and such went on until Noarlunga which is where they decided to get off. I put my book away, stood up and noticed that on the pram, in some sort of drink holder ... was a packet of smokes. Now, these smokes were pretty much just sitting on this drink holder thing and the girl driving the pram just pretty much sent it flying out of the pram, demonstrating to us all that she had never used such a vehicle before. So out bumps the pram and off bump the smokes. Right between the train and the platform. Bye bye smoked. "SHIT!! Holly, your smokes!!! I dropped your lighter too!" ... All the girls stood around, mouths agape, not really knowing what to do. Some lady said to me and a couple of others who were listening "Gee, I'm glad that the baby wasn't in there."

I strolled off chuckling. God I love the southern suburbs.

Digital poems
May 9, 2006 7:01 PM

I wrote a poem, do you like it?

Little boy Puce, come blow your Anus, the Cat's in the Bathroom, the Dog's in the Cabbage.Where is the boy who looks after the Rat? He's under the House, Pooping!

This was my task at TAFE today, useful isn't it? It's actually more useful than it seems. It came from a form where you put in such and such and it outputs it using PHP ... go me! Anyway the Panorama students weren't here last week, so it's a repeated class. He's having those of us who were here last week do this task. Now I would have been finished log ago, had I actually been trying to use the correct web server. We have two on our machines here, one running IIS and the other running Apache. We need the Apache one to run PHP and the WEB1 students need IIS to run ASP. They can't run concurrently, so I have trouble remembering which is which because one's folder is called www with a webroot folder and the other is just called wwwroot. You can see where I would get confused. Further to that every time I come in I have to stop the IIS service and start the Apache service, luckily I know how, or else I'd be far off.

I'm pretty stoked today because my code worked first time, I spent a lot of time on trouble shooting, but it was to do with the server, not my code which is awesome. It means I'm actually getting my head around this crap, all these dollar signs and under scores, it's more than enough to do your head in. I'm actually enjoying it, although I have to wonder if I would be enjoying it if I were doing Javascript at the same time as I had been planning to do. One scripting language at a time I think. I don't know how much longer Vince is going to talk for, but I hope it's not going to be very long because I'm fairly bored and hungy .... hungry also. See you next time bloggerinos!!

P.S. I finished Tomb Raider last night and my gamer card hit 1000 which I'm also stoked about. The game was pretty easy, no hard boss at the end which is kind of good because I just wanted to see the story. Tomb Raider was fairly similar to Prince of Persia ... apart from not being able to turn back time which by the end I was still not used to, I'd fall off and right away try and hit the left trigger .... nothing would happen. Most disappointing. They've definately set themselves up for a sequel or six. Not worth a buy, but definately rent it and play it. I finished it in about 8.5 hours and the story was most enjoyable.

NDS and Xbox, what could be better?
May 7, 2006 12:26 PM

I love weekends because I don't have to do anything at all. Except play xbox and nintendo DS. I'm such a freakin geek, but I'm so awesome at it that it would be a crime if I didn't. I went and rented Tomb Raider Legend from the video shop. It seems good, although it is a lot like prince of persia. I keep finding myself trying to use the buttons I would use with the prince, for example when I fall off things I hit one of the tiggers to turn back time. Natually it doesn't work, but I try anyway. I don't think I'll have it finished by the time I have to take it back, but I sure as shit will try. the only thing that annoys me about this game is thatyou can't skip through the cut scenes after you've seen them.

I bought pokemon emerald from ebay the other day and I feel so out of the loop because it has all the new pokemon and only a few of the old ones. I had no idea what these pokemon were and their names are just insane. Yes, even more so than the first lot if that's possible.

I've been riding my bike almost every day and I'm not feeling pukey any more, so that must be a good sign. I don't think I'll go today though, take a break. All this week I have early shifts so I will be able to come home and go for a ride every day before dinner. Except for Tuesday as I have TAFE.

Theme song
May 4, 2006 8:56 AM

I think my blog needs a theme song. Any suggestions?

Now this is not to say that I would have it playing on the site. I would just have it be acknowledged that this particular song is the theme song and you could listen to it of your own accord. It was a sad day when someone decided it was a good idea to be able to include MIDIs on websites. The bane of my existence I tell you, the bane of my existence.
