Blogging machine
January 20, 2007 7:05 PM

Blogging again, I know, I've been a blogging machine these past few days, but I think that this new computer has just made it all that much more accessible to me. I am posting again from this machine, but this time I am using Windows Vista, which I have finally just managed to get connected wirelessly. It took a lot of work and googling, but I got there in the end.

I've taken some photos which I will most likely post later, Vista is really nice. To tell you the truth though, it is getting more and more like Mac OS X, the file structure, the file explorer, the side bar, the way the windows transition from one state to another. Next thing you know, they'll have a dock. The one bad thing I've discovered so far that I hate is the fact to do just about anything at all, you have to approve it ... which involves clicking a button. Not sure what the point of that approval is because anyone can click a freakin button. I'm sure there is some where to turn it off, but I'm not sure I can be bothered looking. I have firefox, I have msn, I don't think I need anything else.

I think this OS is going to be a big step up and a fairly large learning curve for the average user and I don't know if people are going to be ready for this. There wasn't much more room for them to build upon the current platform, it hadn't really changed too much since 95 and let's face it, making thing shinier can only get you by for so long before you have to do some actual work.
