Im the king of the castle
June 24, 2007 5:51 PM

Well to be more accurate, Takeshi is the kind of the castle. I've managed to track down Seasons 2, 3 and 4 for download. Despite the fact that the Comedy Channel's version has Nathan and Shannon from big brother, I really really love this show. Here's why:

This is by far my favourite game from Takeshi's castle, the best thing is when they step on the fake one and then smash face first in to the next one. It makes me think of it's a knock out. I remember that show being on very early in the morning and it was a truly amazing show. I guess it's the reason I like Firday Night Games on big brother. Particularly when they have to wear the huge costumes. Oh and when they have the giant fan.

Realisations
June 20, 2007 12:36 PM

Do you know what I just realised? It takes less time to fly to Melbourne than it does for me to take the bus to work. What bull shit.

You know what else is bullshit? My mum ran over my dog this morning and didn't even stay to see if he was okay, she just ran back inside, told me to watch him and then left. What a fuckin dick. I think he's going to be okay, he was letting me pat him afterwards, so I assume he's not hurt.

Let's hope so anyway. I'm not sure if she actually ran OVER him, or just hit him with the car.

MONARTOOOOOOOO!
June 18, 2007 11:32 AM

Yesterday we went to Monarto, it was awesome. Jacqui made us lunch, which was awesome. She brought along rolls, lettuce, tomato, cheese, lunch meats and various condiments and she threw it all in to rolls for us to mung on. It was awesome, Jacqui rocks. After that, we went on the bus tour around the park, it was good fun, I got a whole bunch of good pictures, once I got the right shutter speed. The only bad thing was that the day was over cast, so the light wasn't the best. I did get some pretty good shots though and I'm just in the middle of fixing the light on some of them so that you can actually see what's in them.

Well I got distracted from blogging by fixing all the photos, they're now uploaded and I'm pretty chuffed with how they turned out. A couple are blurry, but I guess you have to expect that when trying to take photos from a moving bus.

In movie news, I'm up to Sorority Boys, well I'm past it, but I'm not sure what's next, so I'll just list that one.

Save your breath, guard your energy
June 5, 2007 7:59 AM

The first thing I'm finding out when I get to China is whether they can really run through the tops of the trees. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is super cool. I missed most of the story because I was doing other things and not reading the sub titles. This just means I'll have to watch it again later.

Cube 2 is playing at the moment, I really like Cube, this one's a bit more fucked up though although no where near as fucked up as Cube 0, that is one freaky film.

Progress report
June 5, 2007 12:43 AM

So I've been working hard at watching all my movies, I'm up to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon at the moment. I can't remember what happens in this film and what happens in House of Flying Daggers, but I think I liked them both. I've also watched Cool Runnings and Crop Circles tonight. The other night for the first time I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind ... it was weird, but I liked the whole mound building in the living room thing, that was awesome.

I sold my DS yesterday, games along with it and then I went and bought a DS Lite. It's black and shiny and now covered in finger prints.

Running on empty
June 3, 2007 12:30 PM

So last night I was helping Nikki with some very important work and as a result, I got to bed at about 4 am ... as I had to work today, I had to then rise, two hours later at 6 am. So I'm running very low at the moment. I've had a coffee, but I'm scared if I have any more I'll be sick. So I've moved on to sugar and chocolate.

I got all the way to City of the Lost Children last night and decided that rather than concentrating on that, I should probably just go to sleep. I was right, but sleep did not come so quickly. I debated staying awake, but thought that 2 hours sleep might help a bit, after all, by this time today, I wouldn't have even been awake for 24 hours. That's right guys, yesterday I slept in until 3 in the afternoon. It was the best. I woke up and looked at the clock and misread it as 8 am, moments later, mum comes in asking if I'm planning to sleep the day away. Of course I was, although I was supposed to go and visit Vicki (I'm sorry =O() to try and fix her beast. Apparently Carly wanted me to go to Ikea with her as well, but I only discovered this when checking my phone after Midnight ... go me! Email seems to reach me faster than SMS now. I guess that shows how heavily I rely on the interweb, it scares me sometimes. Not enough to do anything about it of course.

Topical spam
June 2, 2007 7:24 PM

Well I've received some more spam comments just now. Well one anyway, it was actually quite on topic, or at least it seemed to be. It was trying to sell cheap flights, but the link wasn't for cheap flights ... it was for midget sex.

Anyway, on to more important business, I've started going through all the movies I have and watching them one by one. So far I've seen 2001: a space odyssey, a fish called Wanda, Amelie, American Beauty and right now I'm watching Big Fish. I'm thinking about writing about each of the movies I've watched, although I'm not sure I'll have good things to write about all of them. Particularly 2001, I was really only watching it for the "Open the pod bay door Hal" "I'm afraid I can't do that Dave", after that, the quality of the DVD got bad, so it kind of became unwatchable, but I had already lost interest, so it didn't really matter, except for the fact that I don't know how it ends.

In other news, I'm selling a bunch of stuff on eBay at the moment, links are as follows:
