So I finished saving the world from aliens on Friday morning. I was a little disappointed by the end of the game, but realistically, I had expected to be. I'm glad that the fight is over, it was a lot of hard work. I'm also glad that Earth is now safe.

I have to say, the first part of the game was harder than the second part, I got through it much faster and with less frustration. Over all, I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out, I don't think that there's anything that I would changed. Except perhaps the warthog drive at the end, that was kinda cliche, they could at least have made it a mongoose or something else.

I don't really know what game I'm supposed to look forward to next. I kind of felt the same way as I did after I finished reading the last Harry Potter book, except I didn't play the game in photos of all the screens.

Halo Wars maybe? Perhaps Stargate Worlds? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.

GODAMNIT!!!

Don't you hate it when you're playing a game for hours, you make some progress and then you get to a point at which you're stuck and you get frustrated and turn off the console. Then a short while later, you turn the console back on and it turns out that the game doesn't actually auto save.

I hate myself so hard right now.

I hope you like it too.

This is my life in polaroids and moos.

I like it.

So I just got home from seeing December Boys with Carly and Miffy. We were the only ones in the cinema. We picked up Cold Rock before and it was le awesome! As it always is. Once we'd sat down, I looked on the back of my ticket and found I had scored a voucher for buy one get one free at Cold Rock. YEAH!!!

Anywho, on to the movie. I quite liked it, Theresa Palmer wasn't in it as much as I was expecting, but I thought she did a good job. Daniel's accent slipped every now and then, but over all, he did a pretty good job of it. There were some hilarious parts and one scary bit at which I almost shit my pants, I jumped and went all fetal. Carly and Miffy laughed, it was mean =O(.

We are now only hours away from Halo 3 and yes, I am getting excited, very excited. I tried to play some Halo 2 on my 360, but apparently, they game is sorry, but my disc appears to be damaged. This is BS because I haven't ACTUALLY played this disc, EVER!!! Having said that, it does look somewhat scratched which I'm less than happy about. Never mind though because just hours from now, I will be shooting aliens and finishing the fight! Oh yes, I will. I don't see myself finishing it tonight, but you never know. Wish me luck, I could be the last hope for our universe =OD.

Oh god, Im such a geek.

Oh the wii, the wii of it all
September 24, 2007 12:54 AM

So this weekend was pretty busy, I had to work on Friday night, it was pretty boring over all, but I got salt and pepper squid from the Griff's for dinner which made it all better.

Then on Saturday I had to go shopping for more another wiimote and a couple of other things. It took longer than I had hoped it would, but I got it all done and then I was off to Nikki and Michael's for Wii and Guitar Hero fun! It was teh awesome, we went down to the park to take some photos and I got some nice shots of Nikki as she was taking photos, they're still on my camera at this stage though, I haven't downloaded or looked at them properly. Then we wiid it up and went to collect Nick, before we decided to go and see Stardust. I thought it was pretty cool, but none of the guys liked it. That's ok though, because they're stupid. Then more Wii and some pizza, then home. I got in at about 4 and dad was just getting up to go to work =O\. That's how I gage if I've been out too long, if he's just getting up, or he's gone already, it's freakin late.

Then today I slept till about 1:07 when Carly SMS'd me to see what I was doing. It was at that point I freaked out because I was supposed to be at Jordan's at 3 and I hadn't yet been able to locate a wireless Wii sensor bar, so I was showered and around at Carly's within the half hour and off we went to Marion in search of a sensor bar and ice cream which we never ended up getting. I found the sensor bar, then I decided I wanted a camera cleaning kit and Carly wanted to ask about other lenses for her camera. Neither of us bought anything, so we headed off home and then to Jordans!!!

Tonight was the first moonlight cinema for this summer, Jordan's moonlight cinema that is, not the one in the botanic garden's. I like Jordan's better because we can play wii and be hilarious. When I got there Jacqui and Leanne had decided that they wanted banana lounges and had rushed off to Kmart to buy some. When they got back we played some charades and as Jacqui can't walk, she tripped over her own feet, stepped on the end of her banana lounge and whacked herself in the head with it. Funniest thing I've seen in ages. Well done Jacqui and I'm glad you didn't die. David thought she had a dent in her head, turns out, that was there before. So after that, we played some wii which was cool, everyone wants one now. Finally, it was time for the movie, we wanted Dirty Love. Fucking hilarious. One of the funniest movies ever, everyone must see it and die of laughter.

So I have this coming week off and tomorrow at midnight is the launch of Halo 3, I finished paying off my legendary edition on Friday when I went and bought more wiimotes. So tomorrow night, in to town to pick it up, then back home to play it. Im pretty damn excited.

Tomorrow night Im off to the movies with Carly and Miffy, I think we're seeing December Boys. YAY!

So I decided that I didn't like the different lighting conditions on the last set of photos and I reshot them last night using my 50 mm fixed lense. I like them much better now, you can see some of them below and the rest of them in my flickr.

I've clocked up about 25 hours of Zelda now and I've no idea how close to the end I am, but I haven't played it yet today, it's frustrating me and I'm a little tired of it. I'll give it a rest until tomorrow and then take up arms again. My wii condoms arrived yesterday too which is cool, so now the wiimotes are less slippery and they'll end up with less hand goo on them. Tomorrow I'm going to buy two more controller sets and pay off my Halo 3 preorder which I will then be picking up on Tuesday morning. I'm excited, oh yes, I am. I'm also excited about taking leave next week, I expect there will be much sleeping, but I've organised a date with Carly which should be nice =O).

Wiimotes .... with protection

Advanced War Fighter
September 16, 2007 7:42 PM

Oh yes, I am!

I just finished Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter 2. I would have finished it some time ago, but it appears I had to download an update before it would actually let me save the game, so I played the first 90 minutes 3 times over. This added up to more than the whole game in total. Yes, it was very short as everyone else has been saying. Much shorter than the first game and more team orientated I feel. The first one had more solo things, creeping around in the dark, on your own, picking off enemies one by one from a distance. Never the less, I liked this one almost as much as I liked the last one.

Also yesterday I played some Call of Duty 4 Beta online. It was pretty good too, but suffered from severe lag every time an air strike was called. So that was unpleasant, but I did ok considering all this and the fact that I haven't played online in years and certainly not on a console.

So now it's back to the Wii and in particular Zelda and the Twilight Princess, I dunno how far through I am, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. There's lots of slashing and stabbing and jumping and riding the horsey!

Went to Laura's today and played Wii, took it to Carly's yesterday and I have Wii hall of fame pictures of both of them. Next weekend, it's off to Nikki and Michael's.

Now I'd just like to announce my thoughts on Australian Idol. Tarasai must die ... that is all.

SWEET JEBUS!
September 14, 2007 2:27 AM

I can't believe that just worked. Something got fucked up on my computer and there was no Internets happening. There were bad things happening. So I went through a slew of things and finally decided to attempt at system restore and it fucking worked! I've never done a system restore before, so I had very little faith, but it freakin worked! So we're back in touch with the world again and it's bed time I thinks, before I kill off something else.

We wanna wii wanna we wanna wii!!!
September 6, 2007 6:13 PM

I've decided to bite the bullet and order my Wii.

It appears directly after this I got distracted and went away.

Anywho, I did buy it and it arrived on Monday. I consider that pretty good, ordered it Thursday night, it was shipped on Friday and arrived on the Monday. Go Australia Post!

And here it is!

New Kids on the Block

I was most pleased and I've played so much that my arm is now sore. How ever, it's not my wiimote arm that's sore, it's my nun-chuck arm. All that moving of my thumb is causing my muscles to work hard.

So far I've played Wario ware, Mario Party, Trauma Center Second Opinion and a little bit of Zelda this morning. I have Cooking Mama and Super Paper Mario coming. I'm also getting Mortal Kombat, Mario Strikers and Sonic. I'm fucking excited. I've been booked out for the next two weekends by people who want me to come around and bring my wii. So if you want in, get in line and book early.

I woke up on Tuesday morning and the disc slot on my wii was glowing. I freaked out, I thought oh my god, is it dead? It turns out it was just telling me that I have mail from Nintendo lol. Whoda thought. It wasn't important though, they were just telling me to update, but I already had.

The dream is over
September 2, 2007 7:50 PM

So on Friday night I bought Season 10 of Stargate SG1 on DVD. I guess this is some sort of closure for me. I'm not looking forward to the upcoming summer TV season in the US which will be the first in 10 years that has been without Stargate SG1, sure there'll be Atlantis, but I just don't see how this is going to fill the gap.

Anywho, I now have a shelf that consists of nothing but Stargate DVDs. Apparently they're making a dvd box set with four extra discs of content and EVERY SEASON OF STARGATE. I'm ever so tempted to buy it, but with any luck I can resist. So here's some pictures of my DVDs, there's some for comparison further back in my blog. The collection has grown considerably.

The great wall of Stargate!

Behold, the collection!
