YAY! Hot water!
May 3, 2008 10:35 AM

My gas got hooked up on Thursday, except I didn't know that you had to turn the tap on for it to work. I rang AGL again and they're all "did you turn the tap on" and I'm like "water tap?". So I turned on the gas tap and then I was all "YAY! FIRE!".

Every time I pull up to my house I get an image of what happens on the Sims when something catches on fire, the flames are leaping around and there's a little person dancing around, pissing their pants and shouting expletives in a language that doesn't exist. Thankfully though, this has not yet happened. Although when I pulled up one day there was a smoke alarm going off and I briefly shit my pants before determining it was coming from across the road.

I cooked dinner there last night and I used the microwave rice steamer my mum bought ages ago and never used (thanks mum!). It's seriously the best thing ever invented. Anyone who cooks rice in a saucepan is retarded. Microwave steamer is the way to go. I made butter chicken and I was able to not kill anyone or burn the house down.

I had some trouble lighting the pilot light and plus the thing was covered in spider webs so I was constantly scared of being eaten by spiders. Dad ended up coming over and doing it for me, YAY DAD!

Speaking of spiders, Laura and I decided that the collective noun for spiders is a disgusting. That's right, it's a disgusting of spiders.

Im pretty sure it was MY idea that a collective noun of spiders was a 'disgusting' and you just laughed.... just for those playing along at home :P
